DAY 1 BAGA GAZARIIN CHULUU

Baga gazariin chuluu

Today we are driving to rock formation is a 15 km long and 10 km wide stone massif, is located Middle Gobi. Surtiin am is one of many beautiful places in Baga gazriin stone massif. This is a narrow canyon with asp, birch, white whicker and elm tree, as well the ruin of a stone temple and the site of 2 yurts where monks lived and meditated since the seventieth century.

DAY 2 TSAGAAN SUWARGA

Today’s destination is White Stupa.

Cliffs and extraordinary forms of rocks with a height of 30-60m are the only remaining of the sea that existed millions of years ago. It earned its’ name because of the Harmony of the colours, and as it looks like an ancient city and sometimes like white stupas from a distance. The unusual forms of cliffs can also look like a massive waterfall after heavy rains. Enjoy hiking around colorful Stupa, feeling like meditation in there.

DAY 3 YOL VALLEY

Yolyn Am also known as “Eagle Valley”

It is located in Gurvan Saikhan National park, Umnugobi province. “The Lammergeier”, rare bearded vulture birds are often translated as Yol, thus it is usually said valley of vultures or valley of eagles. A museum exhibits the fauna of the Gobi in Mongolia. You can discover enormous cliffs and narrows and a glacier that doesn’t melt until the end of the June. Adorable chipmunks of the family Sciuridae and other wild animals exist here. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. Visit Gobi museum.

DAY 4 KHONGOR SAND DUNES

Our trip will continue driving  to Khongoriin Els

These are Mongolia’s largest sand dunes, reaching height of 300 meters in some areas. Although it could be a little challenging to get to the top of the Dunes, the breathtaking scenery and a vast landscape are always worth it. DAY 5 BAYANZAG- FLAMING CLIFFS

Today we will drive to Bayanzag. Bayanzag (The Flaming Cliffs) is famous for its historical events, dinosaur fossils and the very first discovery of the Dinosaur eggs. Roy Chapman Andrews, an American explorer who is known for his leading a series of expeditions named this site “Flaming Cliffs” as the colors turn more inevitably red especially at a sunset. It is illegal to remove or move the dinosaur fossils from its first place if you found one.

DAY 6 ONGI MONASTERY

Drive to Ongi monastery.

The older southern complex consisted of various administrative buildings as well as 11 temples. The northern complex, built in the 18th century, consisted of 17 temples – among them one of the largest temples in all of Mongolia. The grounds housed also 4 Buddhist universities. It was completely destroyed in 1939. Although there is little left, it is interesting to go there to explore the ruins.

DAY 7 ORKHON WATERFALL

Drive to Orkhon Waterfall, which was formed by volcanic eruptions about 20.000 years ago, the waterfall cascades from a height of 20 km. It is a scenic, tranquil spot and the surrounding nature is undisturbed, where is hiking.

DAY 8 TSENKHER HOT SPRINGS

Drive to Tsenkher hot springs

There is several tourist camps which are offering for tourists indoor and outdoor baths. They transfer the hot water via tubes from and built some pools. There are also indoor pools. Men and women bathe separately. It is an excellent place to relax.

DAY 9 TERKH WHITE LAKE & KHORGO VOLCANO

Terkh White Lake

Today we are going to drive to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur on a very good newly built paved road until reaching destination. It is an astonishingly beautiful lake with relatively pure fresh water. Torrents of lava issuing from the Khorgo volcano blocked the north and south Terkh rivers, so forming the dammed lake of Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake at an altitude of 2060 meters above sea level.After exploring the environment, you can prepare yourself for next day’s horse trip.

DAY 10 HORSE TRIP TO THE KHORGO

After breakfast at 10:00 am, start your horse trip to volcano with well trained local guide and your tour guide. Before riding your guide will give you clear instruction about horse riding. KHORGO is an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level.

DAY 11 KHARKHORUM

Early morning we will start drive to Kharkhorum

Kharkhorum was the capital of the Mongolian Empire between 1235 and 1260, and the Northern Yuan in the 14–15th centuries. Genghis Khan set up the first plan to build the capital and after his death, his son Ugudei continued the construction and established the capital. Explore Erdene Zuu Monastery and modern style historical Museum .

DAY 12 DRIVE BACK UB

Drive back to UB, on the way having lunch. Transfer to your booked hotel or guesthouse.Travel Gobi desert Mongolia with us!
