Central Mongolia is extremely rich in historical and cultural remains of all historical periods except for its beautiful natural scenery. During this tour, you will discover a lot about Mongolia such as three different zones of Gobi desert, central Mongolian mountain steppes and forested mountains with their rapid current, clear rivers, fresh water lakes, flower carpeted lands and basalt covered valleys.

DAY 1 TERELJ NATIONAL PARK & CHINGES KHAN STATUE COMPLEX

Drive to Terelj National Park. On the way we will stop for big statue of Chinggis Khaan. Terelj about 80km north-east of Ulaanbaatar, is a deservedly popular destination. The park has many rock formations for rock climbers, and includes two famous formations named for things they resemble: Turtle Rock (Mongolian: Melkhii Khad) and the Old Man Reading a Book (Praying Lama Rock)

DAY 2 ELSEN TASARKHAI SEMI GOBI

Drive to Semi-Gobi. Imagine a picture that consists of Rocky Mountains in the back, sand dunes extending on the right sand of the dunes, green trees in and aside the dunes, a river flowing along the dunes. DAY 3 ORKHON WATERFLL

Drive to Orkhon Waterfall, which was formed by volcanic eruptions about 20.000 years ago, the waterfall cascades from a height of 20 km. It is a scenic, tranquil spot and the surrounding nature is undisturbed, where is hiking.

DAY 4 TSENKHER HOT SPRINGS

Drive to Chenkher hot springs. The waters are supposed to have curative properties for joints and other ailments. Outdoor pools are attended by staff that can or heat the water via a water-gate system; there are also indoor pools. Men and women bathe separately. It is an excellent place to relax.

DAY 5 TERKH WHITE LAKE & KHORGO VOLCANO

Today we are going to drive to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur on a very good newly built paved road until reaching destination. It is an astonishingly beautiful lake with relatively pure fresh water. Torrents of lava issuing from the Khorgo volcano blocked the north and south Terkh rivers, so forming the dammed lake of Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake at an altitude of 2060 meters above sea level.

DAY 6 HORSE TRIP TO KHORGO VOLCANO

After breakfast at 10:00 am, start your horse trip to volcano with well trained local guide and your tour guide. Before riding your guide will give you clear instruction about horse riding. Natural zones around Khorgo: Taiga forest, Transition between Taiga forest and grassland, Mountain Forest Steppe.

DAY 7 KHARKHORUM

Early morning we will start drive to Kharkhorum ancient capital city .Explore Erdene Zuu Monastery and modern style historical Museum . Visit to some other sightseeing.

DAY 8 DRIVE BACK ULAANBAATAR

Drive back to UB, on the way having lunch . Transfer to your booked hotel or guesthouse.

Note: Difference between comfortable and budget is the accommodation. Budget tour includes stay in nomadic family ger, comfortable tour includes stay at Ger camps which are a kind of 3*hotel standard.
