DAY 1 Baga Gazariin Chuluu

We will pick you up from your hotel or guesthouse at 8:30 am. Then our tour will head to the Rock Formations. Baga Gazariin Chuluu is a huge area of rocks, 15 km long and 10 km wide, in the Middle Gobi. It’s famous for its beautiful views, with rough rocks that look different from the sandy desert around. You can walk around the rocks, go for a hike, and enjoy the special scenery.

DAY 2 Tsagaan Suvarga

Today, we will explore Tsagaan Suvarga, also known as the ‘White Stupa.’ The cliffs of Tsagaan Suvarga exhibit a stunning array of colors, ranging from white and yellow to red and orange. These vibrant hues are the result of different minerals and clay compositions in the rock layers. You can enjoy hiking around this colorful Stupa.

DAY 3 Yol Valley

Yol Valley is a beautiful narrow valley in Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park in Mongolia. Tall cliffs and rocks add to the valley’s stunning appearance. You can explore the towering cliffs, narrow passages, and even come across a glacier that doesn’t melt until the end of June. Enjoy a leisurely hike and capture the charming landscapes and wildlife through photography.

DAY 4 Khongor sand dunes

Khongor Sand Dunes are among the largest sand dunes in Mongolia, covering an area of 180 kilometers in length. The tallest dunes, reaching heights of up to 800 meters, are in the northwestern part of the range. Climbing these dunes can be tough for many people. But when you get to the top, you’ll see an amazing view of the desert. Experience riding on the endangered two-humped Bactrian camels.

DAY 5 Bayanzag

Today, we will be driving to Bayanzag. Bayanzag, also known as The Flaming Cliffs, is famous for its historical events, dinosaur fossils, and the very first discovery of dinosaur eggs. American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews, known for leading a series of expeditions, named this site “Flaming Cliffs” because the colors become even more vibrant, especially at sunset.

DAY 6 Ongi Monastery

Ongi Monastery is located at the foot of Mount Saikhan Ovoo, near the village of Saikhan Ovoo in the province of Dundgovi. The monastery was one of the largest and most respected monasteries in Mongolia before it was destroyed in 1939 by the communist authorities. Even though there isn’t much left, it’s still interesting to visit and explore the ruins.

DAY 7 Orkhon Valley

Orkhon Valley is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, featuring rolling grasslands, lush meadows, and striking volcanic formations. In addition to its natural beauty, the valley is home to nomadic herders who preserve traditional Mongolian ways of life. The pristine and unspoiled surroundings offer excellent opportunities for hiking and horseback riding. The Orkhon Valley is one of the highlights of Gobi and horseback adventure tours.

DAY 8 Start the Horse Trip to the 8 lakes

Exploring the Eight Lakes in Mongolia is a chance to enjoy beautiful scenery and learn about the area’s history and culture. It’s a great destination for travelers who love adventure and nature. These lakes were created by volcanic activity long ago in the late Neogene period.

DAY 10 Horse trek to Buurug valley

Today, we will leave the lovely lakes behind and head toward the Orkhon Valley. Cherish every moment as you Horseback Tour through this incredible location. Learn about the diverse flora and fauna of the area, and visit local nomadic families to experience their way of life.

DAY 11 Horse Trek to Orkhon waterfall

Continue the horseback tour to Orkhon Waterfall. The landscape changes into a flat and wide valley. Enjoy the waterfall near the Orkhon River and hike alongside the deep canyon. This will be the final day of Horseback riding. Relax at a tourist camp and reflect on the horse trek adventure.

DAY 12 Kharkhorum

Kharkhorum was the capital of the Mongol Empire from 1235 to 1263. Today, Kharkhorum is a small village and one of Mongolia’s major tourist destinations. Explore the Erdene Zuu Monastery, built in 1585 on the ruins of the ancient city; it is one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia.

The best time for a Gobi and horseback adventure in Mongolia is summer (June to August) because it offers great weather and vibrant landscapes. But if you like milder temperatures and fewer crowds, spring and autumn are also good choices.

What is Standard Ger Camp ?

What is Ger Guesthouse ?

Some nomadic families who live within national parks or sightseeing areas, run their own small business that rents ger accommodation for backpackers. It gives you a chance to get closely acquainted with the way of life and Nomadic way of lifestyle. During our budget tours, you will stay in Mongolian traditional accommodation Ger Guesthouse. Ger Guesthouse has 4 -6 beds. And occupancy is based on multi-share but with only your group members and not with other tours. Most nomadic families do not have formal toilets in their summer places. So the most you can expect to find is a designated toilet trench that may be screened on three sides. No showering facilities will be available in some of the local ger guesthouses.
