DAY 1 Arrival in UB

Our team will greet you at the airport. After you freshen up from your flight, we will start our first day around Ulaanbaatar, beginning with Gandan Monastery. From there, we will proceed to the National History Museum, which tells the rich history of Mongolia. Afterward, we will take a walk around Sukhbaatar Square. We’ll have dinner before dropping you off at the hotel.

DAY 2 Amarbayasgalant Monastery

We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am. Then, our tour will head to Amarbayasgalant monastery. Amarbayasgalant Monastery is a place where you can learn about Mongolian culture, history, and architecture. When you visit, you can explore the temples, take in the beautiful artwork, and relax in the peaceful surroundings.

DAY 3 Urantogoo Uul

Today, our destination is Uran Togoo. Urantogoo Uul is an extinct volcano on the western side of the Uran Togoo Natural Monument in Bulgan province. This place is a great spot to take a break when you’re traveling to Khuvsgul Lake. When you climb to the top of Urantogoo Uul, you can enjoy an unobstructed view all around.

DAY 4 Khuvsgul Lake

Visit Khuvsgul Lake, which is the best of Northern Mongolia. Visitors come to enjoy its natural beauty, go hiking in the surrounding mountains, and experience the traditional Mongolian culture of the local Tsaatan people. Its breathtaking scenery and unspoiled environment make it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the northern regions of the country.

DAY 5 Khuvsgul Lake

Today, enjoy your relaxing time at Khuvsgul Lake. Take a leisurely walk along the lakeshore, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and savor the picturesque views. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the Reindeer Tsaatan family. (Some Tsaatan families come to Khuvsgul Lake from June until the end of August)

DAY 6 Shine Ider

While Shine Ider Village is officially part of Khuvsgul province, it’s situated on the border between Khuvsgul and Arkhangai provinces. This village often serves as a resting place for travelers on their way to Central Mongolia. The main view in this place is mostly forest and open grasslands, which makes it a perfect peaceful and quiet spot for travelers passing through.

DAY 7 Terkh & Khorgo

Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park is a popular destination for tourists and nature enthusiasts. Visitors can engage in activities such as hiking,  horseback riding and exploring the volcanic formations. One of the park’s highlights is Horgo Volcano, a dormant volcano covered with basalt. Hiking to the volcano and exploring its unique crater is a must-do activity.

DAY 8 Kharkhorin

Kharkhorum was the capital of the Mongol Empire from 1235 to 1263. Today, Kharkhorum is a small village and one of Mongolia’s major tourist destinations. Explore the Erdene Zuu Monastery, built in 1585 on the ruins of the ancient city; it is one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia.

DAY 9 Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, we’ll head to Ulaanbaatar. On the way, we will visit the Semi Gobi and enjoy a 1-hour camel ride. Elsen Tasarkhai is a stunning semi-desert region located in central Mongolia. Check into a hotel and enjoy a free day to explore the city on your own.

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel, and then transfer you to the airport or train station to end the tour.

What is Standard Ger Camp ?

What is Ger Guesthouse ?

Some nomadic families who live within national parks or sightseeing areas, run their own small business that rents ger accommodation for backpackers. It gives you a chance to get closely acquainted with the way of life and Nomadic way of lifestyle. During our budget tours, you will stay in Mongolian traditional accommodation Ger Guesthouse. Ger Guesthouse has 4 -6 beds. And occupancy is based on multi-share but with only your group members and not with other tours. Most nomadic families do not have formal toilets in their summer places. So the most you can expect to find is a designated toilet trench that may be screened on three sides. No showering facilities will be available in some of the local ger guesthouses.
