Day 1
Flight to Ulgii & Explore the City
Start your adventure with a pick-up from your hotel. Our driver will take you to the airport for your flight to Ulgii. Once you arrive, our friendly local team will be waiting to greet you.
Ulgii is located in Bayan-Olgii, a region where 93% of the population are Kazakhs. These are the descendants of Central Asian nomads. Take some time to explore the lively marketplace, where you can experience the unique culture and vibrant atmosphere of the town.
Day 2
Shiveet Khairkhan – The Sacred Mountain
Today, we’ll drive through the stunning Tsagaan Gol Valley (White River Valley) and the towering Altai Mountains on our way to Altai Tavanbogd National Park, also called “The Holy Five.”
One of the park’s highlights is Shiveet Khairkhan, a sacred mountain known for its ancient rock carvings from the Hun era (around 200 B.C.). Surrounded by breathtaking peaks reaching up to 4,000 meters, this stop is a true cultural and natural treasure on our Western Mongolia tour.
Day 3
Altai Tavan Bogd – Glacier Adventure
Today’s journey takes us deep into the heart of Altai Tavan Bogd National Park. We’ll start with a challenging uphill hike, where the trail can get steep and muddy.
Next, we’ll ride a horse for 18 km from the ranger station to the Potanin Glacier and the mountaineers’ base camp. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of rugged mountains, open valleys, and wild nature all around. It’s an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of any Western Mongolia tour.
Day 4
Shiveet Khairkhan – Western Mongolia Tour Adventure
On this exciting day of your Western Mongolia tour, we’ll ride a horse or hike 18 km to the ranger station. It’s another exciting day to explore the wild beauty of Altai Tavan Bogd National Park.
You can trek or ride back while enjoying the peaceful valleys, clear rivers, and stunning mountain views. Take your time to soak in the natural beauty of Western Mongolia—a perfect way to experience the heart of this incredible land.
Day 5
Ulgii – Meet the Kazakh Eagle Hunters
Today, we’ll drive to Sagsai to visit a Kazakh eagle hunter’s family. You’ll get a close look at the majestic golden eagle and have a chance to take amazing photos with it.
After this unforgettable experience, we’ll continue our journey to Ulgii, arriving in the evening. It’s a perfect day to learn about Kazakh traditions and enjoy the rich culture of Western Mongolia.
Day 6
Flight to Ulaanbaatar
Fly back to Ulaanbaatar today. Once you land, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to your city hotel.
