Day 1 Terelj National Park

Drive to Terelj National Park. On the way we will stop for big statue of Chinggis Khaan. Terelj about 80km north-east of Ulaanbaatar, is a deservedly popular destination. At 1600m, the area is cool and the alpine scenery is magnificent and green meadows carpeted with Edelweiss and a dazzling variety of other wild flowers attract nature lovers. The park has many rock formations for rock climbers, and includes two famous formations named for things they resemble: Turtle Rock (Mongolian: Melkhii Khad) and the Old Man Reading a Book (Praying Lama Rock). You will ride horse for an hour.Stay overnight in ger camp.(Lunch, Dinner)

Day 2 Baga Gazariin Chuluu

Baga Gazariin Chuluu –Rock Formations Today we are driving to baga gazriin chuluu /rock formation/ is a 15 km long and 10 km wide stone massif, is located Middle Gobi. Over 20 kinds of medical herbs and many species of animals such as wild sheep, ibex and marmot exist here; if you have chance you might the wild animals. Surtiin am is one of many beautiful places in Baga gazriin stone massif. This is a narrow canyon with asp, birch, white wicker and elm tree, as well the ruin of a stone temple and the site of 2 yurts where monks lived and meditated since the seventieth century.Overnight in a ger (Lunch and Dinner)

Day 3 White Stupa

Today’s destination is White Stupa. Tsagaan Suvarga is interesting to see the sheer slope, facing east, which from a distance seems to be the ruins of the ancient city. Enjoy hiking around colorful Stupa, feeling like meditation in there. Overnight in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

 Day 4Yol Valley

Today’s destination is Yolyn Am, or ‘Eagle Valley’.  Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. Visit Gobi museum. These areas are situated in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park that encompasses the “Three Beauties” peaks and the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains.Overnight in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 5 Khongor sand dunes

We continue our journey to the Khongor sand dune. It has an extraordinary length of approximate 100 kms and 12 kilometers wide. There is an oasis near a river Khongor at the northern edge of the sand dunes. Free day for leisure nearby the sand dune. Dune journey, camel riding and trekking.Overnight  in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 6 Bayanzag

Today we will drive to Bayanzag, (known as a Flaming Cliffs where the first nest of dinosaur eggs found in 1922) a site famous for the remains of dinosaurs which lived here 60 million years ago. You can walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saxaul trees and other classic desert vegetation.Overnight in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 7 Ongi monastery

Drive to Ongi monastery. The older southern complex consisted of various administrative buildings as well as 11 temples. The northern complex, built in the 18th century, consisted of 17 temples – among them one of the largest temples in all of Mongolia. The grounds housed also 4 Buddhist universities. It was completely destroyed in 1939. Although there is little left, it is interesting to go there to explore the ruins.Overnight in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 8 Orkhon waterfall

Drive to Orkhon Waterfall, which was formed by volcanic eruptions about 20.000 years ago, the waterfall cascades from a height of 20 km. It is a scenic, tranquil spot and the surrounding nature is undisturbed, where is hiking.Overnight in ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 9 Kharkhorum

Drive to Kharakhorum ancient city of Mongolian Great Empire. Visit to oldest Buddhist monastery Erdenezuu and you will see modern style historical museum.Overnight  in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day10 Tsenkher hot springs

Drive to Tsenkher hot springs . The waters are supposed to have curative properties for joints and other ailments. Outdoor pools are attended by staff who can or heat the water via a water-gate system; there are also indoor pools. Men and women bathe separately. It is an excellent place to relax.Stay in a ger Camp (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 11 Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur

Today we are going to drive to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur on a very good newly built paved road until reaching destination.  It is an astonishingly beautiful lake with relatively pure fresh water. Torrents of lava issuing from the Khorgo volcano blocked the north and south Terkh rivers, so forming the dammed lake of Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake at an altitude of 2060 meters above sea level. The lake supports Pike and other fish. Rare birds are found here. After exploring the environment, you can prepare yourself for next day’s horse trip.Overnight in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 12. Terkh White Lake (horse trip to Khorgo Volcano)

After breakfast at 10:00 am, start your horse trip to volcano with well trained local guide and your tour guide. Before riding your guide will give you clear instruction about horse riding.

KHORGO is  an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. Khorgo is rich in beautiful scenery of mountains, cliffs, rapid streams, rivers, lakes, extinct volcanoes, green forests and pastures, where the long-haired yaks and horses pasture. Overnight in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 13 Murun city

After breakfast drive to Murun city capital of Khuvsgul province. One of the longest driving day (around 7-8 hours). Overnight in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 14 Khuvsgul lake

Drive to Khuvsgul lake. Khuvsgul lake is inhabited by 9 species of fish, while the nearby taiga forest, forest steppe, mountains and the lake provide habitat for 68 species of mammals. The lake is surrounded by dozens of stunning mountains, thick pine forests and lush meadows with grazing yaks and horses.Stay in a ger Camp (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 15. Lake Khuvsgul 

In the morning we will hike in the surrounding forest mountains to have a better look of the crystal blue lake. . In the afternoon, we will drive to the north to visit Reindeer village where we can experience Tsaatan; reindeer breeders’ unique everyday life and. Stay in a ger Camp (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 16  Drive to Urantogoo

We will drive to the mountain called Uran Togoo which is an extinct volcano which is another attractive destination of Northern Mongolia which located about 60kms from Bulgan city.Overnight in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 17 Amarbayasgalant monastery

Drive to Amarbayasgalant monastery. Amarbayasgalant is one of the four great monasteries of Mongolia and the most important northern monastery.Overnight in a ger (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 18 Ulaanbaatar

Drive back to UB, on the way having lunch. (Breakfast, Lunch)

This trip encompasses the many stunning highlights of the world famous Gobi desert, as well as the lush, green surroundings of Central and Northern Mongolia. Driving south from Ulaanbaatar, you will pass through the Middle and Southern regions of the desert, allowing you to experience the vastness of this special landscape. Among the rolling sand dunes and hills, activities include riding two humped Bactrian camels through the desert, visiting a Nomadic family, as well as enjoying the spectacular sunrises and sunsets that are on offer each day.

After wandering around Gobi, we will then head north to Central Mongolia. Here you will enjoy spectacular and lush greenery, swimming in freshwater lakes and waterfalls, as well as many famous cultural sites.

North Mongolia is a main travel destination of Mongolia. The highlight of Mongolia’s northern provinces, an alpine region bordering the forests of Siberia, is pristine Lake Hovsgol, known as Mongolia’s “dark blue pearl.” Believed to be several million years old, Mongolia’s deepest freshwater lake is surrounded by dozens of small rivers and streams that empty into its waters, pristine taiga forest, and valleys and meadows rich with wildflowers.
