Naadam Festival is the only one of its kind; it is a sophisticated and eloquent expression of nomadic culture, it is the honored celebration of a national independence, and it is an outstanding combination of arts and sports.
Even, the core of the festival – three manly sports – the wrestling, horse racing and archery, embrace many elements of arts, such as singing, dancing and performing.
Nomadic Mongolians have known when to throw the parties. Naadam Festival is held in the most enjoyable month of the most pleasant season in the country.

Day 1 (Jul 5 ) Arrival in UB & City tour
Upon arrival at the Chinggis Khan international airport in Mongolia, you will meet us and transfer to the hotel***, conveniently located downtown Ulaanbaatar. After freshening up from your flight, we start our first day around Ulaanbaatar starting from Gandan Monastery, the largest and most important monastery of Mongolia with 500 monks. From here we will go to the National History Museum which tells the rich history of Mongolia. Then we will see Mongolian traditional concert at 6 pm. Welcome to the dinner. Stay in hotel***. ( L, D )
Day 2 ( Jul 6 )White Stupa
Today’s destination is White Stupa is located in MIddle Gobi. The name Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) is given by local people to the impressive and legendary cliff which is eroded by natural phenomen on. Having 10 million years history, the cliff indicates different times by its colored layers. Tsagaan Suvarga is interesting to see the sheer slope, facing east, which from a distance seems to be the ruins of the ancient city. Enjoy hiking around colorful Stupa, feeling like meditation in there. Tourist ger camp (B,L,D)
Day 3 ( Jul 7 ) Yolyn Am, or ‘Eagle Valley’
Today’s destination is Yolyn Am, or ‘Eagle Valley’. Take a trip to Yol Am and Dungene valley – a wonderfully picturesque place with ice in summer, and surrounded by sheer rocky walls, forming incredible canyons. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. Visit Gobi museum. These areas are situated in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park that encompasses the “Three Beauties” peaks and the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains. Tourist ger camp (B,L,D)
Day 4 (Jul 8) Khongor sand dune
After breakfast, take a trip to Khongor sand dunes.
These are Mongolia’s largest sand dunes, reaching height of 300 meters in some areas. You will be riding on camel to explore the Khongor sand dunes. Dune journey, camel riding and trekking. Tourist ger camp (B,L,D)
Day 5( Jul 9 ) Bayanzag(flaming cliffs)
Today we will drive to Bayanzag, (known as a Flaming Cliffs where the first nest of dinosaur eggs found in 1922) a site famous for the remains of dinosaurs which lived here 60 million years ago. You can walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saxaul trees and other classic desert vegetation. Tourist ger camp (B,L,D)
Day 6 ( Jul 10 ) Ulaanbaatar
Drive back to UB, transfer to hotel. Welcome to the dinner . Stay in hotel*** (B,L,D)
Day 7 (Jul 11) Naadam Festival
Today you will watch the inauguration ceremony of Naadam Festival which is opened by the president of Mongolia. The opening ceremony features marches and music from soldiers, monks and athletes and live performance of the national instrument Morin Khuur and a choir concert before the real fun begins! There will be tournament of wrestling and archery in the Central Stadium while horse races take place outside the city center. Welcome to the dinner, transfer to hotel. Stay in hotel*** (B,L,D)
Day 8 (Jul 12 ) Flight to Murun City
Today, you will be transferred to the city airport for morning flight to Murun, the center of Northern Province. Upon arrival at local airport, we will drive to Khuvsgul Lake, known as “The Dark Blue Pearl”. Lake Khovsgol is the Mongolia’s largest and second-most voluminous freshwater lake in Asia and 1% of all the fresh water in the world. Tourist ger camp (B,L,D)
Day 9 (Jul 13) Lake Khuwsgul
In the morning we will hike in the surrounding forest mountains to have a better look of the crystal blue lake. In the afternoon, we will drive to the north to visit Reindeer village where we can experience Tsaatan; reindeer breeders’ unique everyday life and traditional tent dwelling “Urts”. Day 10 (Jul 14) Flight to UB
This morning, transfer to the local airport for return flight to Ulaanbaatar. Drive to Terelj National Park. Terelj about 80km north-east of Ulaanbaatar, is a deservedly popular destination. At 1600m, the area is cool and the alpine scenery is magnificent and green meadows carpeted with Edelweiss and a dazzling variety of other wild flowers attract nature lovers. The park has many rock formations for rock climbers, and includes two famous formations named for things they resemble: Turtle Rock (Mongolian: Melkhii Khad) and the Old Man Reading a Book (Praying Lama Rock).Tourist ger camp (B,L,D)
Day 11 (Jul 15 ) Chinges Khna Satue Complex
After breakfast , you will ride a horse for an hour and enjoy hiking to Aryabal meditation temple. After lunch drive to Chinges Khan statue complex. The statues in total is 40m high and see as far sighted Chinggis Khaan holds a golden whip in his right hand.Drive back to UB and transfer to hotel. Welcome to the dinner. Stay in hotel*** (B,L,D)
Day 12 (Jul 16 ) Departure Mongolia
You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport. (B) Or you can take exra tour.
